Finlandia, the premium delicatessen cheese brand needed to communicate how delicious their cheese was in a bold and distinctive way.

Sometimes even the finest deli cheese in the country needs some help speaking up for itself! MediaWorx developed a 360 priority-market Northeast media strategy to amplify Finlandia Cheese’s brand advertising and ‘re-introduction’ campaign created by BFG 9000.
The campaign objective was to reach ‘cheese passionistas’ — affluent households with strong purchasing power who are willing to spend more for quality and taste.

MediaWorx executed a priority-market commuter rail, radio, and print campaign surrounding consumers with Finlandia’s new advertising platform featuring the brand’s quality heritage and call-to-action to ‘ask’ for Finlandia at the deli.

Finlandia’s top 10 customers were integrated into the radio campaign and provided strong support in the deli and cheese section throughout the 4 month campaign flight.

Consumers were surrounded by Finlandia brand messaging in their cars, on all the major NE commuter rail systems and within select ‘food editions’ of local publications including The New York Times, Boston, and Philadelphia magazines.

The Results

Base line sales increased by over 10% throughout the media flight across all advertised markets, including increased levels of distribution at key accounts.
